Video: Lou and Skip Holtz talk at USF kickoff dinner

Strong turnout on Monday night for USF's first Football Kickoff Dinner at the A La Carte Pavilion over by the airport -- a full room of 450 Bulls fans each paying $125 to hear Skip Holtz and his father Lou talk about the season ahead and the opener now just 11 days away at Notre Dame.

Here's video of Lou talking with reporters before the banquet -- he's very clear about which side he's pulling for in South Bend: "I cheer for my son. It'll be the first time I've ever picked against Notre Dame. I have an honoroary doctor's degree and a statue there. Somebody said you're picking an upset. That's not an upset. Upset is what his mother would be if I picked against her son. There's no way in this world I would ever cheer against my son. Make no mistake. I want the world to know: I am for the South Florida Bulls."

Holtz speaks very highly of Notre Dame fans and the experience of watching a game in South Bend. Here's Skip, moments later, talking about the emotion of going back to Notre Dame but how much more important it is for his team.
