Video! USF players talk after opening scrimmage
Lots more video from Vero Beach tonight, as we talked to a handful of players who had big games in the Bulls' opening scrimmage of the preseason. We open up with redshirt freshman QB Matt Floyd, who hit his first 11 pass attempts, including a 14-yard touchdown to Ruben Gonzalez. He also looked good running the ball, with carries of 21 and 18 yards on the night.
Here's cornerback Kayvon Webster, who had the first interception of the night on a deflected pass from B.J. Daniels intended for Victor Marc.
Staying at cornerback, here's senior George Baker, who entered the preseason as the player to beat for the cornerback job opposite Webster.
Moving over to offense, here's redshirt freshman Willie Davis, who shined in a limited role, gaining 62 yards on five carries as he makes a case to get into the rotation in a deep, talented backfield.
