Watch List Watch List! Bonani on Groza radar
Back in the heyday of USF's talent-laden 2007-08 squads, the Watch List Watch List was a blog staple, with a seemingly endless run of Bulls players on the not-so-short lists for the parade of hardware handed out to college football's finest.
WLWL is AWOL no more, as Bulls kicker Maikon Bonani, fresh off a great rebound season in 2010, is one of 30 kickers on the official radar of the Lou Groza Award, or as it is officially known, The Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award. Bonani, who missed the 2009 season with a back injury, took over the kicking duties two games into 2010 and went a sterling 17-for-21 on field goals, the most accurate season ever by a Bulls kicker.
He has tough competition just in the Big East -- Syracuse's Ross Krautman and Connecticut's Dave "The Bull Killer" Teggart are also on the list. Not sure who else on the current USF squad is a lock for another preseason watch list, but one of the linebackers wouldn't surprise me.
