WR Bogan to play in Arizona all-star game
Former USF receiver Dontavia Bogan said Wednesday that he has accepted an invitation to play in a new senior showcase game, the Eastham Energy College All-Star Game, set for Jan. 23 in Arizona.
"I'm excited about it," Bogan said from Miami, where he's working out for 10 weeks at Bommarito Performance Systems, a top training choice for aspiring draft picks. "It's an opportunity for me to show NFL scouts what I can do."
Bogan, who led the Bulls in catches, receiving yards and touchdown receptions in 2010, is the second Bulls senior selected for a postseason game, joining defensive tackle Terrell McClain, who will play in the East-West Shrine Game in Orlando. The Arizona game has former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach among its organizers and will be played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe. Check out its official site here.
Bogan has signed with agent David Canter, who also represents former Bulls receiver Taurus Johnson. Bogan said former West Virginia receiver Jock Sanders, who is from St. Petersburg, has also accepted an invitation to the Arizona game.
