Young to play in East-West game; six Bulls to Boca
Seven USF senior football players have selected postseason showcase games to play in next month, with safety Jerrell Young, a Gibbs graduate, playing in his hometown at the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field on Jan. 21.
Six other Bulls -- guard Jeremiah Warren, center Chaz Hine, receiver A.J. Love, defensive end Patrick Hampton, defensive tackle Keith McCaskill and cornerback Quenton Washington -- have accepted invitations to play in the inaugural "Battle of Florida" game, game organizers said Wednesday. That game, also played Jan. 21 in Boca Raton, will feature Bobby Bowden and Howard Schnellenberger as coaches.
