Football promotions abound for USF students
USF has announced a number of student-geared promotions and incentives, starting with Saturday's game against Towson at Raymond James Stadium.
The first 15,000 students through the gates for the contest -- which kicks off at 7 p.m. -- receive a free USF helmet-shaped hand fan. The first 500 in the student section (north end zone) get an exclusive USF student T-shirt for "SoFlo Saturday Night."
Students who attend the first two home games, including next weekend's contest against Northern Illinois, become eligible to be randomly chosen for one of two prizes: a free trip home for the holidays (with USF Athletics paying for the flight to their destination) and a reserved parking space on campus. Rules for the drawing can be found here.
Before Saturday's season opener, students and fans are asked to donate to the school-supply drive from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Bulls Zone, located on the south side of the stadium. Suggested supplies include notebooks, index cards, pens, No. 2 pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, highlighters, rulers and paper. All items will go to Hillsborough County public elementary and middle schools.
Live bands also will perform in the Bulls Zone prior to home games.
