Former Bulls FB Kennard Swanson arrested
Former Bulls FB Kennard Swanson was arrested in Tampa early Tuesday morning on several charges including possession of cannabis and violation of probation.
Swanson, 21, was arrested at the intersection of Howard Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard. He remains in jail with no bond, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office online arrest report.
Two of the charges -- possession of cannabis and possession with intent to sell -- are third-degree felonies. Swanson also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a license suspended, canceled or revoked.
A first-team Class 6A all-state pick as a senior at Lake Gibson High, Swanson brandished his versatility as an H-back for USF. As a redshirt freshman in 2014, he caught 13 passes for 206 yards, with at least one reception in nine of the last 10 games.
He left the program before the 2015 season for academic-related reasons.
