Full disclosure: My AP ballot (Oct. 6)

This week, I said sayonara to Arizona State and Maryland, and bid aloha to Auburn and Northern Illinois. Missouri was on the tip of my ballpoint. Should the Tigers have been on my ballot?

And while I try to avoid penalizing any team for a conference win, I couldn't help but flip-flop LSU and Louisville.

It wasn't anything the Cardinals didn't do (in a sleep-inducing 30-7 win against Temple), but more of what the Tigers did (a 59-26 annihilation of Mississippi State).

Meantime, Northwestern and Washington slip, ever so slightly, after "quality" losses to Ohio State and Stanford, respectively.

And while South Carolina stays put at No. 11, I do believe this weekly Jadeveon Clowney saga could end up sabotaging the Gamecocks' season.

My AP ballot:

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Clemson
4. Ohio State
5. Stanford
6. Georgia
7. FSU
8. LSU
9. Louisville
10. Texas A&M

13. Oklahoma
14. UCLA

18. Northwestern
19. Washington
20. Virginia Tech
21. Auburn
