Full disclosure: My AP Top 25 ballot

8

September

Busy overnight turnaround, with a wild game late at Michigan-Notre Dame and an early flight home to Tampa, but here's my ballot for the Associated Press Top 25. Hard to know how far to drop three teams -- Florida, Notre Dame and South Carolina -- who took road losses to teams now in the top 25. Is Florida's the worst because Miami was unranked last week, and how far should the Gators fall among teams that for the most part haven't been challenged with a comparable opponent? You'll probably see more disparity among the ballots on teams like South Carolina, who gave up 41 points to a Georgia team that already had a loss, albeit to a top-tier Clemson team.

My top eight were unchanged, but voters already have to decide how to compare a Louisville team that will face very little elite competition against, say, a one-loss Georgia team whose only loss is above it in the rankings.

As always, I appreciate your feedback and criticism. Have at it ...
