Full disclosure: My AP Top 25 ballot
This is my last post on the blog -- moving over today to join the Times' Bucs/NFL coverage, with my friend and colleague Joey Knight taking over this page and our USF beat, as well as this AP ballot. Joey will do a great job -- check out the notebook he wrote last night and a great video wrapup as well. Follow him on Twitter as well at @TBTimes_Bulls -- you guys have already done that in a big way, with 700 new followers in just the past week.
More Times stories to link to -- here's columnist Gary Shelton wondering if there are any teams this USF team can beat, and Jeff Odom's sidebar on a breakout first start for freshman linebacker Nigel Harris.
There are so many people to thank for nine-plus years covering USF athletics for the Times -- so many great memories and relationships built over that time, with USF coaches and players, staffers and fans, as well as good folks at the Big East (and American) and the local bowls. I want to thank my colleges editor, Mike Stephenson, two great friends and colleagues in Antonya English and Brian Landman, and a great group of correspondents who have helped me out along the way.
I will also miss people I already miss, like Lee Roy Selmon, like Bradley Mosley, like Keeley Dorsey and Will Bleakley. I hope I can keep in touch with all of you -- I'll literally be in the same seat in the same stadium this afternoon, so I'm not going far. Please keep in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org and on Twitter at @gregauman. Now, as an odd farewell, you can shred by AP ballot. Thanks everybody ...
