QB decision: Bobby Eveld to start vs. Michigan State
USF football fans have been waiting all week to hear who would start at quarterback in today's game at Michigan State, and as he walked into Spartans Stadium, coach Willie Taggart said that senior Bobby Eveld will get the start.
Eveld, a Jesuit grad and former walk-on, threw two touchdowns in the second half of last week's opening loss to McNeese State in relief of sophomore Matt Floyd, who struggled, throwing interceptions in his final two passes. Eveld started one game in each of his three seasons at USF, previously in place of an injured B.J. Daniels.
Floyd will remain USF's offensive captain for today's game, which kicks off at noon.
