Bulls QB Quinton Flowers, who threw for a career-best 350 yards and career record-tying four TDs in Saturday's 48-17 rout of Northern Illinois, has been named American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Junior MLB Auggie Sanchez, who notched his eighth career double-digit tackles effort (13), made the conference's weekly honor roll with former Newsome High three-way star Will Worth.

Making his first start at quarterback for Navy, Worth scored two TDs in a 28-24 victorgy against Connecticut, including the game-winner on a 1-yard run with 3:08 to play.

Flowers' yardage total Saturday was the eighth-highest for a single game in Bulls history. He finished with 403 total yards, eighth on the school's single-game list, and moved into fifth place on USF's career total yardage chart (4,098).

He now has 1,285 career rushing yards, third-most among Bulls quarterbacks behind Matt Grothe (2,206) and B.J. Daniels (2,068).

MACK UPGRADED: TB Marlon Mack, who didn't play against NIU after undergoing a concussion protocol earlier in the week, is probable for Saturday's contest at Syracuse, Coach Willie Taggart said Monday.

Mack practiced in a non-contact jersey last week and suited up for the NIU game but didn't play.

"Gee, I haven't seen him today," Taggart said Monday on the American Athletic Conference weekly coaches teleconference. "I would say probable if I had to say right now."

USF doesn't practice on Mondays. Others banged up vs. NIU: DT Bruce Hector (ankle), striker Khalid McGee (ankle) and DE Mike Love (concussion).

ODDS AND ENDS: As of today, the Bulls rank 10th nationally in scoring offense (52.0 ppg) and 17th in total offense (551.0 ppg). ... The Bulls are 7-2 all-time against Syracuse, and 4-0 against the Orange in the Carrier Dome. ... New Bulls P Jonathan Hernandez ranks second in the American and 41st nationally with a 41.7-yard average. ... Taggart was asked Monday if the Bulls might consider working out in the Trop to prepare for the Carrier Dome. "Nah," he said.

AUDIBLE: "Not at all. I think that's one thing our guys have been able to do over this entire span of our guys winning again, is focusing on the game at hand. I don't see it being any different now." -- Taggart, when asked if he's worried about his players looking ahead to the Sept. 24 home game against FSU
