Bulls QB Quinton Flowers, who has set or tied no fewer than four school records during his breakthrough sophomore season, was presented the John & Cynthia Ruzic Team MVP Award during Sunday night's team banquet.

The honor was among 17 handed out during the event, staged in a second-floor ballroom in the Marshall Student Center. American Athletic Conference rushing leader Marlon Mack (1,273 yards) and fellow sophomore D'Ernest Johnson (1,137 all-purpose yards) shared Offensive MVP honors, while MLB Auggie Sanchez (team-best 106 tackles) was named Defensive MVP.

Sanchez was among five multiple winners, earning the Academic Excellence Award (3.5 GPA as a communications major).

Flowers, who enters the Miami Beach Bowl with 2,906 total yards, already owns USF single-season marks for passing touchdowns (21), total TDs (31) and rushing yards by a quarterback (883). He'll head to Miami tied with Matt Grothe for the single-season record for rushing TDs by a quarterback (10).
