Apparently, Willie Taggart's public lobbying for Quinton Flowers' awards cause has resonated nationally.

Flowers, who ranks in the top 25 nationally in eight statistical categories, is among 15 "Players to Watch" for the 2016 Walter Camp Player of the Year Award. The award, the country's fourth-oldest, is voted on by the 128 Division I coaches and sports-information directors.

The entire list can be seen here. FSU TB Dalvin Cook is the only other state player on it.

Flowers is the only Bulls player to run for 1,000 and pass for 2,000 yards in the same season. His 473 total yards in Saturday's 49-42 win at Memphis set a program single-game record. With 1,131 rushing yards this season, he's 251 shy of breaking teammate Marlon Mack's USF season mark.
