The latest we've heard/seen regarding USF's courtship of Charlie Strong, as of 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Tampa Bay Times first reported a Learjet owned by a prominent University of Texas booster landed Friday around lunchtime in Tampa. The same plane departed Saturday morning to Burnet, Texas, with Strong aboard, according to footage from WFTS reporter Tom Korun.

But Strong left with no deal reached with the Bulls -- yet.

A source close to the negotiations put USF's chances of landing Strong as its fourth head coach at 60 percent, but indicated terms of the former Texas coach's contract with the Longhorns remains a minor sticking point.

The contract calls for Texas to pay Strong his remaining base salary, a total of $10 million. However, if he finds another job, Texas is entitled to half his compensation at his new gig.
