Video: Taggart excited for spring game Saturday
Today's a day where I need that "rotating top story" deal you see on many news sites -- I want to have a prominent tease up to today's USF chat at noon, ideally without the Times Square billboard-sized mug of my head, and I'd also like to link to today's behind-the-scenes look at USF's wild yet competitive spring-game draft, as well as today's chunky look at Taggart's practice quirks, but I also want to get up fresh video of Willie Taggart from Thursday's morning practice. (I don't remember it being that windy.)
So I've kind of covered that in the opening graf -- that's super-cool newspaper shorthand for what normal people might call a "paragraph" -- and can now move on, feeling like you guys have at least a drive-by awareness of all the USF things going on this morning.
Not a huge amount of news from USF practice this morning -- I'll get some nuggets in during the chat (this is what industry people would call a "tease") and will try to post more later today or tomorrow. I can tell you that no stone is being left unturned, and that WR Alex Mut was taking reps at holder today, just to make sure there are starters and backups at all positions on both teams for Saturday night's spring game.
It's probably a smart thing that Taggart won't have his QBs "live" to take hits Saturday night -- the top priority is always keeping a team injury-free, and USF's defensive line is arguably its deepest position for 2013. Again, lots more to come.
