Bush for Tom Lee?
"I might, it's all under consideration," Bush told reporters Tuesday after the Cabinet meeting concluded.
But Bush wouldn't commit whether he'd back Senate President Tom Lee, whom he's heaped frequent praise on in recent months because of bills overhauling the state's lobbyist and insurance laws. Lee is facing state Rep. Randy Johnson, R-Celebration.
Bush's most recent praise came Tuesday morning as he signed the insurance overhaul plan into law. "You've heard my comments about President Lee, so..." Bush said, before heading back to his office.

Now, who said that Bush definitely wouldn't endorse? Doesn't sound like a firm stance of neutrality if you ask me.

It is a sad, sad day for the state of Florida if someone of the character of Tom Lee actually becomes the Republican nominee for CFO.

Don't worry jax_gop, Alex Sink will kill him in the general! So, in actuality, it will just be a sad day for Florida Republicans, not all Floridians. But you Republicans better get used to it, cause with Katheine at the top of your ticket, I have a feeling that will only be one of three or four state-wide races you will lose this year!

I'm mildly shocked...

Tom Lee as CFO?
If he does to the banking industry what he did to lobbyists, Florida's consumers will be well-served.

This is mere speculation and may I remind everyone that Tom Lee and Bush have never exactly been bosom buddies.
Lee actually had the gall to thrown Bush out of "his" Senate Chambers. He's a moderate Republican, hardly an heir to Bush's vision for Florida, and I'd be shocked to see him endorse Lee.
Randy is the conservative in the race.

The Gov should stay out of it - he already screwed up the US Senate race...by not staying our of it until is was too late!

Not long ago, I would have been surprised to hear that Jeb Bush was endorsing Lee - but it appears that Jeb is willing to risk the loss of prestige that a Lee defeat (in either the primary or general) would mean.

I still have yet to see the comment that implied he was going to endorse Lee?

Jax... Did you read the blog post? Bush was quoted as saying, "I might, it's all under consideration". No, he didn't say it was a done deal, but he didn't say he wasn't either. I think some people are surrised that he would even consider it. I personally am not, to me, it just speaks the the integrity of the entire Bush family.

I'm not quite sure how saying that he would consider making an endorsement speaks the integrity either way of Jeb Bush singularly and his family as a whole. Getting involved in this would be a political consideration (which is not to say lacking in integrity).

Dear Jeb:
"Them what lies with pigs shouldn't be surprised when folks call them hogs."
Look at what Lee has done instad of what he says-- you can hear the "OINKS" all over the internet.

I will be shocked and mildly amused if this event occurs AND I will be forced to dodge the flying pigs! I never thought I would see the day this would happen. I think we should take my boy Jeb to a doctor if this happens, because obviously he is showing early signs of Alzeheimers.

First Katherine, now Randy. Come on Jeb - you are killing the Party. Stay out of it! Who's next? Bill McCollum?
