Dear WEDU: Please broadcast Craft in America

When it first aired in 2007, I loved PBS's Craft in America, a three-part exploration of the fine craft tradition in the United States that won a Peabody Award and was nominated for several Emmys.

So I was thrilled when PBS announced it was reprising the series beginning June 3 and would air on local PBS stations from 8 to 11 p.m.

Except not TCraftshoesHIS local station.

WEDU WILL be airing it but only (and this is according to an online schedule) on one of its high-definition channels beginning June 4 at 1 a.m.

Yes, 1 a.m.

Yawn.

It will show the series at a much more respectable time of 7 p.m. beginning June 6, irrelevant to me since I don't have high-def programming.

So I ask -- nay, IMPLORE -- our beloved WEDU to air Craft in America on its more accessible Channel 3.

And also, would you please schedule the two new segments due this fall?

I would be really grateful and I promise I won't switch channels when the fundraising pitches start.
