BellaBrava (515 Central Ave, St Petersburg, (727) 895-5515) has just reopened for lunch, Mon.-Fri. 11:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. (with a limited menu available after that from 2:30 to 5 p.m. before dinner starts). The new lunch menu features panini, flatbreads, salads and more, with no menu item over $10.

And The Table reopened on Monday with Pedro Flores in the kitchen and Joe Moledo managing. I haven't seen the new menu yet, but the plan was to take the prices down somewhat and offer more small plates. While the address is the same (535 Central Ave.), the phone number has changed: (727) 823-6372.

In similar news, I've heard rumors about a longtime St. Petersburg restaurant that might be taking over the De Santo location. Nothing's final, but my fingers are crossed--if it worked out, it would be a lovely addition to the downtown scene.

And wait, there's more: Zachary Gross opened his new, swanky Z Grille last night at 104 2nd St S, (727) 822-9600. I heard the food was good (Cali deviled eggs, Central Avenue ribeye, whole deep fried Snapper, and BLAST, which is bacon, lettuce, avocado, scallops and tomato) and supposedly the interior is gorgeous. Can't wait to visit one of these weeks. I wish him and his staff well!

The only sad news I'm reporting today is that India Grill (320 1st Ave. N, St. Petersburg) has closed downtown due to lease problems. There is some indication that they will open in a new location, but no word yet on where.
