FATDOGS, Yummy Mama and free coffee

James DeVito, the owner of Taps on the ground floor of SkyPoint will not be opening his next SkyPoint venture, RAWBar, until sometime in March. However, he has a new project that will open on Tuesday (Jan. 27): It's FATDOGS, a hotdog stand at 1200 19th St. in Ybor City. He's using Nathan's dogs, topping them with a range of interesting possibilities, from classic Chicago style to the intriguing-sounding mac-and-cheese dog.

Yummy Mama on 4th Ave. N in St. Petersburg, across from Chateau France, fills an interesting niche. This newcomer contains an extensive Russian food market and Russian cafe, at the site of the old Mansion on the Bay.

Panera Bread will host its Share the Warmth event next Wednesday, January 28 to launch its new coffee and to raise funds to support the Children’s Cancer Center.  All Panera cafes throughout the Tampa area will be sharing free cups of coffee and samples of its newest breakfast offerings (three grilled breakfast sandwiches on ciabatta and a new strawberry granola parfait).
