There were a couple of fascinating stories in the New York Times today. First, a piece here that talks about how more people are cooking from scratch at home, and how the person who cooks in each family is essentially the "nutritional gatekeeper." This person, unsurprisingly, has the greatest influence on a family's healthy eating habits. Then, in Tara Parker-Pope's health blog, there's a wonderful quiz that aim to identify your cooking personality type. Cornell University researchers studied nearly 800 family cooks and determined five distinct types. Take the quiz--I was a little schizo, but think I rated as "innovative."
