You all hear the buzz on All Things Considered? Starting this past Tuesday, any honey that is sold in Florida is required to be 100 percent pure. Beekeepers petitioned the federal government to establish a national honey standard a couple years back, in light of a sticky glut of honeys with additives and chemicals. The fed didn't budge, so the honey industry embarked on a state-by-state effort to establish rules for pure honey. Sweet success--Florida's at the vanguard.
