Dine out for the Gulf Coast
According to a story in the Times-Picayune, Jimmy Galle, owner of Gulfish, a seafood distributor based in Sausalito, Calif., is spearheading an effort to raise money for the people affected by the oil spill. From June 10 to 12, participating restaurants around the country will devote a portion of their profits to this endeavor. If any Tampa Bay restaurants are participating in "Dine Out for the Gulf Coast," please let me know and I'll broadcast that information. Restaurants interested in participating should also contact Jimmy Galle at (209) 969-3893 or gulfishing@gmail.com.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The proceeds will go to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund, administered by the Greater New Orleans foundation, to help support critical services to fishermen—such as the Seedco Financial’s Southeast Fisheries Assistance Center. For more information about where the $$ will go, visit here. (thanks, Bugn)
