Hard Rock replaces Floyd's with Cafe
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa closed Floyd's restaurant and nightclub last week, and says it will reopen the space before the end of the year as a Hard Rock Cafe. The new cafe will be about 17,500 square feet, which is double the size of Floyd's. It will have 350 seats and a stage. And, of course, a merchandise shop.
According to the press release, the employees of Floyd's have been retained for positions in the casino, or later in the cafe.
“This is a win-win-win for the casino, for our employees and for Tampa residents and visitors,” John Fontana, president of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, said in a statement. “We’re making a multimillion dollar investment that will generate a significant economic impact throughout the Tampa Bay region.”
