ARTpool show celebrates the body as a canvas
Every few weeks it seems, there's a community event going on at ARTpool. This weekend's annual Muse body art show is one of my favorites.
It's exactly what it sounds like - a celebration of art and the body. Instead of paper or metal or clay, the canvas for this event are living, breathing humans. Can you say body paint?
The result is arresting, to say the least. (Check out some of the pics from a show I went to a couple years back).
This year's show is from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, and the cost is $15 in advance; $20 at the door. There'll be food, drink, and even a burlesque show at some point.
Who wants to go with me?
