Alice in Wonderland accessory shopping makes us late for tea

25

February

White rabbit clock SOME people get the creeps from the previews for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, but I get nothing but GLEE. GLEE, I tell you. Every time the White Rabbit yells, "You're late for tea!" and then hurls his cup at the screen, I devolve into preschool giggles followed by a chorus of "Yay, yay, yay, yay, yay, yay." I love the freakish decadence of all things Carrollian (Burtonian?), and I can't wait to see it with a frosty $25 Diet Coke in hand.

I would also reallyreallyreally love this necklace by designer Tom Binns, who created a high-end Alice in Wonderland line for Disney Couture (seriously, that exists). It's a cross between Salvador Dali and the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, and it makes me happy. Unforch, it's $74.95, and I need to buy contact lenses and groceries this month, not to mention that movie theater Diet Coke. (RELATED: Mac and cheese was 49 cents at Publix the other day, guys! Time to stock up.)

Anyway, I did some browsing for cheap, Alice-worthy accessories that would satisfy the jones. Hearts, flowers and bows are the song of the season, so it's not hard to find good replacements.

The Tea Party Bow Ring from Forever 21, $2.80 is adorable, but I have a feeling it might be one of those things that gets stuck past the knuckle, leaving you to play out a scene from episode 23 of My Two Dads, "Engaged By Accident." Someone grab the butter!

I need to have this heart cuff, like, now. Isn't it crazy awesome? $9.50 at Charlotte Russe. Here's hoping it doesn't turn my wrist green, leading into Episode 24 of My Two Dads, "Gangrene, Grape Soda and Guys." (RELATED: Someone make sure to ask Deal Diva Letitia about her My Two Dad's outfit.)

This takes the entire cake, and the ice cream, and the leftover mac and cheese, and the Girl Scout cookies, and the after dinner mint. It's the Mad as a Hatter Headband from lulus.com, a fabulous site I got sucked into over the weekend. It's only $12!  Life's too short not to show up to work randomly in a wee top hat, don't you think? Look at that model. She's all, "Yeah, betches, I'm rocking this tiny hat. Jealous?" Yes, we are.

Now if you'll excuse me... I'm late for tea!
