Alice in Wonderland: Tim Burton inspires eye shadows, nail colors
Judging from the trailers, the makeup artistry in Alice in Wonderland could hold its own on any runway.
Or in your makeup case.
The edgy cosmetics company, Urban Decay, has created an Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows, which opens to a pop-up scene of Alice in the mushroom forest. Hidden inside a secret drawer are 16 eye shadows, with fitting names like White Rabbit, Jabberwocky and Oraculum.
Sadly, the Alice in Wonderland eye palate appears to have sold out online, but the Urban Decay website suggestively has a place to leave your contact information for Alice, when she comes out of hiding. It is slated to sell for $52 and to be available through ULTA, Sephora and Macy's.
Just as scrumptious, and much cheaper, is the Alice in Wonderland line by OPI nail polish. The four-color collection includes a dark glittery purple called "Mad as a Hatter" and a firey "Off With Her Red." For the daring, there's also the aptly named metallic blue, "Absolutely Alice." The nail colors each sell for $9.
Then there are all manners of Alice-inspired clothing and accessories. So the real question is: how will you unleash your inner Alice?

Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
