Are capri pants as ugly as some men say?
I've long counted capris among my go-to pieces.
Looking at my reflection in a full-length mirror, a strong disliking for my once sure-bet cropped pants washed over me. The proportion seemed all wrong. I swapped my flats for heels, thinking that would add some needed lower leg definition. Nope. I still felt dumpy.
A voice inside my head said something about how lots of men don't like capris on women. I have no idea why this thought suddenly crept into my brain or where it came from. I don't even care what most men think when it comes to women's clothing. (At least, that's what I tell myself.) Still, it got me wondering: Do they have a point?
I so badly want to say, "No!" Capris make so much sense for work and play in Florida. And they are all over spring catalogues. But do pants that cut the leg off at mid calf really flatter most body types?
I kinda think not. Sigh.
Let the Great Capris Debate begin.
