Bathing Suit Week: 3 rules to plus-size perfection!
No matter what size you are, strolling into your local department store's swim suit section can leave you a little bewildered. Unfortunately for plus-sized women, the anxiety can be tenfold. If the new 4 is the old 6, imagine what tomorrow's 14 is....confused?
Me, too.
What I do know is that following three simple rules can help you find a suit that not only looks good, but makes you feel like the sexy, voluptuous woman you are!
Ten hut!: When it comes to tops, support is the key. Underwires may not scream swimsuit model, but they do give a needed boost. Seek out a sweetheart top style, like the suit pictured above, for a glam pin-up girl look.
Camouflage: Got a little more pot in your belly than you'd like? Go for a suit with ruching to hide the pudge.
Quality over quantity: They say it's good to have more than one swimsuit in your closet. I say spend more on one really good one. The Miraclesuit, which uses Spanx like construction, is indeed a little pricey... but there's a reason it's named that.

Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
