Breaking news! H&M clothing coming to O-town
H&M CLOTHING IS COMING TO FLORIDA!!!
Deep breath. Say it three times. Pinch yourself.
This is not a dream.
Florida's very first H&M clothing is going to be an hour and a half from Tampa Bay.
Here's the scoop: H&M clothing is the anchor tenant of a new lifestyle center at Florida Mall in Orlando. It is opening in the fall, according to the Orlando Business Journal. You can even see the trademark red logo on this pretty rendering of what the mall expansion is going to look like.
Brace yourself, divas: This news gets better!
We just got off the phone with Kimbra Hennessy, spokeswoman for the mall's owner, Simon Property Group. A second H&M is in the works for Seminole Towne Center, located in Orlando's northern suburbs.
Yes, we are green with envy that Orlando got H&M first. But we'll get over it, like we did the Ikea slight.
Repeat after me: H&M clothing is coming!! In a matter of months!!
How fast can we say road trip? And three cheers to reader D, for bringing this newsy tidbit to our attention!

P.S. We'll let you know as we get more details after the Memorial Day holiday.

Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or

She lives for 80 percent off shoes at DSW, floral sundresses and bohemian chic tops. She confesses to being a bit of a snob when it comes to handbags and jewelry.
