Brides Against Breast Cancer gown tour returning to Tampa
The Brides Against Breast Cancer Nationwide Tour of Gowns will be stopping again in Tampa this week. I checked out this event last year, and it was really fun and inspiring. For brides, it offers hundreds of mostly new dresses at deeply discounted prices. Gown sales go toward granting the wishes of stage IV breast cancer patients.
Pretty cool stuff.
Name brand and designer wedding gowns will be sold for $99 and up. The Couture Collection gowns are priced at 35-75 percent off retail.
The charity wedding gown sale kicks off Thursday, March 4, with a VIP night from 6 to 9 p.m. The $50 admission fee is good for a bride and one guest. Pre-register here.
There is no cost to check out the general sale on Friday, March 5 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and Saturday, March 6 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
The whole shebang goes down at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel at 111 W. Fortune St. in Tampa. Last year, the charity sale raised more than $40,000 here. Can that number be beat?
