'Brondes' ready for fall fun

Celebrity stylist Kim Vo of L.A.'s Kim Vo Salon has coined the term "bronde" as the IT-color for Fall hair. "Bronde" is a mix of brown and blonde, according to Vo.

“Bronde is easily achieved by painting a few select top layer pieces of hair using two different volume lifting cremes, giving dimension and depth," Vo told hair blog Refinery 29.

At first I was just obsessed with the word "bronde." I'm weird like that. But then I got to thinking that for eons I had considered summer a time to change my hair color. And now fall seems to be the time to do things new with hair. It makes sense. In Florida, the summer is just about survival. Don't make too much noise. Wear light fabrics. Go low maintenance with your hair and skin.

The rest of the world is highlighting their bangs come June, and us Floridians are rocking ponytails. But on the flip, while much of the country is hunkering down in their shells for the colder months, we Floridians are coming out of our shells so to speak.

I'm considering a hair color change to celebrate the beauty that is 80 degrees and below. I'm not doing "bronde" but I might do auburn or bronze. Maybe call it "aubron?" Nah, sounds more LeBron James' little cousin than hair color.

What other hair colors work for fall?
