Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream inspires frightening fashions
Recently Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream 2009 challenged local design students to create a look inspired by the park's main attraction this year, the House of Vayne. One catch: The designs had to be made totally from zippers.

Actually the competitors, all from Tampa's International Academy for Design and Technology, brought their A-game. Last weekend, a combination of judges' scores and audience applause determined the top finishers. The designs were so impressive that they tied for first place. And the winners were...
Joleane Santiago designed the above blood-curdling creation "based the concept of a dark, Gothic formal ballgown," says a press release from Busch Gardens.
Va-va-voom! Ioulia Svyatogor veered from traditional Halloween colors with this crimson ensemble, above.
Both Santiago and Svyatogor received a professional photo shoot of their designs and Howl-O-Scream prize packs. Nice work, ladies. You're so talented, it's scary!
