Celebrate July 4 with these high-flying sales!
With the Fourth comes our reminder of freedom and some free time.
And that calls for some sale-abrating! (That right there was a terrible use of my freedom of speech. I know.)
Old Navy: Duh. Grab your requisite $4 T-shirts bearing the flag, "Old Navy" and "2012," if you like. I prefer the more understated striped ruffle-tube dresses, $25 + the discount. The best part: You can wear those next year without looking outdated -- heck, even Thursday! Save 15 percent off your purchase through Thursday.
Off The Rack: This consignment shop in Largo has a buy-three, get-one-free special on clothes, including clearance and sale items. It's running today only. The store will be closed on the Fourth.
Revolve Clothing Exchange: The Ybor City store is running limited hours, from noon to 4 p.m., but offering 25 percent off of everything (note that it can't be combined with store credit). The St. Pete store will be closed.
Sunshine Thrift Store: Save 50 percent on clothes. Coupon here. The stores in Tampa and St. Pete will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Little Brooklyn Vintage: This downtown St. Petersburg shop is offering 20 percent off shoes today.
Express: Cascading savings that correlate with how much spend, $15 off a $90 purchase, $30 off $180, and so on. Print this coupon, valid through Wednesday. Other deals: tops and bottoms are BOGO, belts and bags are 30 percent off, and jewelry is buy two, get one free.
Dillard's: An ad in my Tampa Bay Times tells me a bunch of sandals have been reduced. Save $10 on your strappy JSimps!
Kohl's: Some items are 60 to 80 percent off, shipping is 99 cents, and swimwear is 15 percent off through today (promo code is WATER15).
Target: The Jay has plenty of sales, including $6 American butterfly tanks.
Sears: Save up to 60 percent on some women's clothing.
Macy's: Sales include 25-50 percent off swimwear (plus 20 percent off) and, if you're in the market for bling, $99 diamond studs. Some shoes are discounted up to 40 percent. (These patriotic Mia wedges are down 10 percent.) Here's a link to their discounted women's apparel. Save 25 percent off clearance when you shop online.
Anthropologie: Take extra 25 percent off sale items.
Heard about a sale that's not on this list? Do tell us in the comments and we'll update the post.
Enjoy the day, you grand ol' divas!

Katie Sanders foolishly spurned pretty dresses and shoes as a child, tossing new clothes over her shoulder at birthday parties with a totally rude "no, thank you." Her drab days of monocolor outfits are over now, and she certainly knows better than to turn down free stuff. Her wardrobe mixes classic with quirk. Think blazers with statement necklaces, and lots of patterned ballet flats. She can be reached at 850) 224-7263 or
Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
A disciple of the little black dress classics school, Letitia Stein stretches her budget by looking for styles with staying power. She lives for 80 percent off shoes at DSW, floral sundresses and bohemian chic tops. She confesses to being a bit of a snob when it comes to handbags and jewelry. She can be reached at (813) 226-3400 or
From camo pants and construction boots to sundresses, sweaters and sling backs, Keyonna Summers knows how to make all of it rock -- at rock bottom prices. A Detroit native, Keyonna delves into her urban roots to find fashion pairings that give a nod to street fashion while maintaining the class of the modern, professional woman. She believes in searching for affordable clothes that look expensive and can easily be dressed up or down. You won't find plaid shirts or fleece jackets in her closet; the only hiking Keyonna does is to the bargain basement. She can be reached at (727) 445-4153 or
