Cheap spa treatments, for a good cause!
Looking for a little pampering for less? How about some “me-time” for charity?
The owners of Mystic Hair Salon & Spa are slashing the prices of haircuts, facials and massages on Sunday in order to raise money for 5-year-old crash victim Summer Moll.
Moll was a passenger in her mother’s car last year when an alleged drunken driver smashed into them, killing her mother and leaving Summer with a fractured skull and a long list of surgeries and medical bills.
Mystic owner Marylynn Pearson said 16 stylists and four spa staff will be on-hand from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the salon, 13801 N Dale Mabry Highway, for scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
All of the proceeds will go to Moll, Pearson said.
Check out these prices:
• Haircuts that normally range from $40 to $58 will go for $25 with a $10 blow dry.
• Mini-facials that usually start at $99, will go for $30.
• A 25-minute relaxing massage will go for $30. Regularly, the price is $58 and up.
Plus, for $10 per entry or $25 for four entries, customers can enter a raffle to win a year of free haircuts. Firefighters who responded to Moll’s accident will be cooking and selling food on-site. Stylists will sell baked goods for the cause. And a few of the stylists children will be manning a lemonade stand.
Pearson credited her husband, Chris, with the “Salon-a-thon” idea after Mystic was approached to do Moll’s grandmother’s hair. He thought they could do more.
“We are very blessed,” Pearson said. “Whatever the need is, we want to meet it.”
