Cut-A-Thon Sunday at Aveda Institute
All this rain making your hair a little cray-cray? Make plans to stop by the Aveda Institute from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday for a $25 hair cut. The Earth Month Cut-A-Thon will feature top stylists visiting from all over Florida, and the money will benefit clean water causes including the Gulf Restoration Network and the Everglades Foundation. They anticipate booking up, so call (877) 652-8332.
Aveda created Earth Month in April 1999 to benefit environmental issues. It has raised more than $18 million for environmental organizations, and $12 million for water-related causes.
Aveda schools in five Florida cities are participating in the event, but our local Aveda Institute is at 235 Third St. S., St. Petersburg. It's right by the St. Pete Times building, and Lord knows we've pretty much all been there a time or two for an emergency bang trim.
