Deal Diva makeover!
Deal Divas are so excited to present our first makeover! On a back to school whim, we sought a school principal who deserved a fresh look. That led to Cheryl DiCicco, a dedicated principal at Lealman Intermediate School in St. Petersburg. We took her out for a day of beauty and shopping last weekend, and discovered a much deeper story than lipstick and heels. You can read all about Cheryl and her makeover and see photos in the St. Petersburg Times this Sunday, or get a sneak peak now, online.
Meanwhile, on the beauty front, here's what we learned:
1. If you have red in your cheeks, choose a lipstick with brown undertones to counteract pinkness. Cheryl picked up a raisin shade.
2. To make a round face appear longer and leaner, keep hair off the forehead and draw attention down with fringe around the ears.
3. Thin hair and dark colors don't mix. The darker the shade, the more translucent hair will appear, and the scalp will show. Stylists took Cheryl only about a shade darker with lowlights to add dimension and trick the eye.
4. Consider your lifestyle when shopping. As principal, Cheryl needed something she could move in. That meant a lightweight jacket that wouldn't get too warm, pants at a perfect length, and kitten heel shoes she can still walk fast in.
Special thanks to LolaJane's Beauty Lounge, which donated time and services to pamper Cheryl. You guys rock!
