Diva in the news: reality, paging Lauren Conrad!
Her "Hills" arch-nemesis, Lauren Conrad, just got totally dumped by Kitson, the store that carried LC's *coughcoughcoughcough* fashion line.
Kitson is a big deal in L.A., but in Tampa Bay, it doesn't register. Still, if you REALLY want to buy overpriced sundresses and leggings, you can shop online. Although they're cute, most of Lauren's dresses come in way over $100 and have the structural complexity of a hospital gown.
Meanwhile, Heidi's line, Heidiwood, was still holding fort at the Countryside Mall Anchor Blue I stopped into yesterday.
Heidi's "shorts" take their inseam cues from a thong. And I've retrieved nicer "jewelry" from a giant claw machine inside CiCi's Pizza.
Nonetheless, Heidi's "fashions" come in under $60, full price. Her logo T-shirts, for sadomasochists with no dignity, are around $30. Her pinstripe miniskirt, a pornographic dust ruffle for your butt, is $36. All the stuff is easily accessed by dress code-breakin' teens with disposable incomes everywhere.
I can't hate too much. Homegirl is making major bank. And somewhere, Spencer is laughing maniacally.

Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
