Extra half-off clearance at bebe stores this weekend
I ran into International Plaza last night to pick up a gift for my grandparents. It's their 65th anniversary and I'm heading to Ohio in about three seconds to spend it with them this weekend. The gift was at the fun Papyrus store downstairs, but since I'm a poor planner, I parked by the food court and walked past all kinds places I shouldn't have walked past.
One such place was bebe. I have mixed feeling about bebe. When I was 17, I thought it was the most amazing store ever, and my friend Gina and I got matching crystallized tees that said BEBE across the chest. You know the ones. A couple years later, I got a beautiful peach halter dress from the outlet store that I loved. But as I grew older, I thought maybe Bebe was a little clubby, a little too party girl, a little over the top with the bandage dresses and dressy shorts jumpers no grown human looks good in. Then the Kardashians got their mitts in, and, well, there's no denying they're pros at coloring your lens. They've since moved on to Sears.
Anyway, last night a sign outside the bebe store in IP advertised an extra half-off clearance prices, and I was all, "DIVERT, DIVERT," and I went in and checked it out. There were still a lot of crystallized tees and ridiculous bandage dresses, but also some really nice frocks, tops and jackets in cool, funky cuts. I didn't pick anything up because I'm trying to save money at the moment, but I could have had a dynamite orange safari-style party dress for about $40 (normally $140) on the sale.
If you're in the mall this weekend, check out the sale. Some shoes were included, too. And if you get that orange dress with the zippers, let me know so I can come borrow it.
