Facebook: Your new favorite mall?



OnlineShopper Divas, have you heard about this? Retail therapy is coming to Facebook.

About two weeks ago, 1-800-Flowers debuted its "Facebook storefront," and at least 20 more retailers will follow suit over the next two months, according to this article by Britain's Financial Times.

To be clear, I'm not talking about posting a virtual bouquet on someone's wall. And I'm not just talking about a Facebook fan page or a link to a company's Web site. I'm talking about completing your transaction, start to finish, on the social networking site, as we do on

What are the implications of this? Would my purchases show up in my profile? Dalia just bought three pairs of jeans. Dalia has gone up a dress size. Dalia's credit card was declined...

It remains to be seen which other retailers will jump on the Facebook bandwagon, but Divas, what do you think? Do you want to be able to buy your boyfriend a birthday gift and break up with him all in one place?
