Find a sports bra without a panic attack

Sportsbra_4Cushioned cups or uni-boob? Cotton or moisture-wicking ? Racer back or hook closures?

Shopping for a sports bra is like visiting a used car lot. With so many options, and so much overpriced hype, you put it off as long as possible. But in the name of all things perky, procrastinate no longer! Use these quick tips to find a sports bra that fits your workout:

* Bounce in it. Try some jumping jacks in the dressing room. The sports bra either works or it doesn't. Practice your exercise moves to ensure a comfy fit, and don't forget that you'll need more support on a run than at a Pilates class.

* Size matters. A busty woman may need the support of a racer back, while the less robust can make do with simple compression. Need lift? Check out the underwire options.

* Sweat is not the enemy. You can survive 30 minutes at the gym without moisture wicking and breathable mesh. Go home and take a shower.

* Desperate times call for desperate measures. When an old sports bra isn't holding up, but you can't afford a replacement, there's no shame in double bagging. Trust me, two worn out bras really do work better than one.

bottom band work with breathable mesh to ensure a dry, comfortable workout." But for $40, will it mow my lawn too?)
