Free jewelry... now there's a pricetag I can stomach
After the spending binge that was Christmas, I'm finding myself a little leery to shop for awhile. Call it a post-holiday detox. But it hasn't been easy avoiding sales thrown at us from every direction.
So when an e-mail offer hit my inbox this morning promising me a chance at FREE jewelry, I had to take a closer look.
Bejool.com is a soon-to-launch shopping web site for designer jewelry at discount prices. Similar to Gilt Groupe, the site will showcase specific items for only 24 hours at a time at up to 80 percent off retail prices. (Unlike Gilt, membership is not required.) Shipping is free.
To celebrate its mid-January launch (just in time for Valentine's day, the press folks proclaim), Bejool is giving away three pieces of jewelry to the winner of a random drawing Jan. 16. All those who sign up for daily e-mail alerts will be automatically entered.
I like the set of black pearls best, but that amethyst necklace would be a perfect gift for my sister's February birthday.
Cheesy name be darned, I'm curious to check out BeJool once it's up and running. Let's hope by then my bank account isn't in quite as much pain.
