Fug or Fab? Charm bracelet calendars
February is a big month for me.
Of course there's Valentine's Day, which my hubby has always had a knack for. But it's also the month of my wedding anniversary and if the doctors are right it will be the month my baby is born.
So when someone forwarded me the trinket below it got me to thinking....
Charm bracelet calendars: Fug or Fab?
Off top, I see a wee-bit of cheesy-ness to the calendar bracelet thing. I'm not a ginormous charm bracelet fan.
But at the same time I kinda dig that the calendar bracelet has significance (your special day is marked with a jewel of your choice) but also manages to look somewhat cute. Those two things don't always coexist. Think class ring or "Best Friends Forever" lockets -- two things I've never been fond of.
The jury is still out for me on the calendar charm. I'll decide soon enough though. If you're interested, you can find them, most below $200, at www.notjustanyoldday.com

Her drab days of monocolor outfits are over now, and she certainly knows better than to turn down free stuff. Her wardrobe mixes classic with quirk. Think blazers with statement necklaces, and lots of patterned ballet flats. She can be reached at 850) 224-7263 or
Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or

She lives for 80 percent off shoes at DSW, floral sundresses and bohemian chic tops. She confesses to being a bit of a snob when it comes to handbags and jewelry.
