Go green at Westfield Brandon, get free soap
Calling all Divas of East Hillsborough County! If you're swinging by the Brandon mall today for lunch, be sure to stop in LUSH Cosmetics between noon and 1 p.m. That's when the store will be pushing its campaign against the use palm oil in beauty products. You see, the global demand for palm oil -- which comes from palm trees, natch -- has lead to destruction of rain forests in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Still with me? LUSH's storefront now bares the slogan Wash your hands of palm, and 
the store wants to add your handprint to the display. So stop by on your lunch hour, dip your hand in green paint, stick your green handprint on the glass and then wash it clean with LUSH's new palm-free soap. For your efforts, you'll take home a 50-gram sample (about half a bar) of either the sweet-smelling Honey I Washed the Kids or another summery soap.
