If you missed EVERY SINGLE TV newscast last night, you might not be aware that the latest retail sales figures are bad. Really bad. Bankruptcy bad.

But you know we Deal Divas like to see the glass half full. And prices half off. So divas Stephanie and Colleen charged ahead yesterday, scouring area malls and stores for deals that will make anyone with a little discretionary income feel better about spending it.

Check out the sales we found. We couldn't fit all these in the paper this morning:

Macy's: In the category of “Things No One Needs, Ever,” Macy’s has $108 Coach rubber wellies, great for cranberry farmers in Southampton, featured at the store entrance with a red 30 percent off sign. Maybe some impulsive soul will bite.

FYE: Hundreds of DVDs are buy-one-get-one, in case you have $35 to blow and REALLY need to own all seasons of The Hills and Reba.

Lowe's: Through Sunday, when you buy 10 or more special order Kraftmaid, Schuler or Diamond Reflections kitchen cabinets, get a Lowe’s gift card up to $1,000.

Linen ‘n Things: This chain is going out of business and, right now, the entire inventory is at least 20 to 40 percent off. There is still a pretty decent selection at the Dale Mabry store in Tampa. All sales are final.
* Gourmet covered serving dishes are 50 percent off. Get them for $29.99 or less.
* 8-piece Henckels knife set is 20 percent off. Get it for $271.99.
* 20 percent off sheets and bedspreads (including all Nautica bedding)

Ann Taylor: Get $50 off a full-priced purchase of $150 or more! Bring coupons if you have ‘em, and increase your savings.

Robb & Stucky (International Plaza): Amazing deals on furniture, like a three-piece, retro leather sectional in camel. Regularly $8,700, now $5,999. A Lovina six-drawer dresser in reclaimed teak regularly costs $3,199, now $1,799.

Champs Sports: $24.99 basketball shorts are buy one, get one free. They are reversible, so it will really be like getting four looks for the price of one.

American Eagle: All tops are buy one, get one half off.

Express: Buy one, get half off on every item in the store.

Wet Seal: Buy one, get one for a penny on the clearance rack. Everything else is 20 percent off through Sunday.

Yankee Candle: Buy one, get one half off on three holiday scents -- Balsam & Cedar, Sparkling Cinnamon or Christmas Cookie.

AT&T: Buy one get, one free on Samsung phones (using two mail-in rebates and committing to a two-year contract -- cell phones are always annoying like that)

Dillard's: Through Nov. 16, save up to 70 percent on a wholebunchastuff. 40 percent off entire stock of ladies' suits.

Select Comfort (Sleep Number Beds): Get interest free financing if you pay by 2010.

LensCrafters: 50 percent off lenses with any frame purchase, including no-line, bifocals and prescription sunglasses. Good through Nov. 16.
