Hail all things green on St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Paddy's Day! In honor of my Irish heritage, here are some great green items to spice up your spring wardrobe. (No shamrocks, I promise.) They won't keep you from getting pinched if you forgot to go all Ireland on your outfit today, but you'll look cute whenever you decide to wear them.

GreenshortsYou can't miss with J.Crew's cotton chino shorts. Worth the near-$40 price tag, they wear well and come in a nice variety of colors and lengths. (Okay, I guess you could go wrong if you pick a pair that is too short, so let your thighs do the talking in the dressing room.)

This Old Navy linen-blend ruffle dress costs $29.50 and comes in three colors,Oldnavydress including this green-ish one. It would be perfect for a day out shopping and lunching with your gal pals. Pair it with a big purse and some gladiators for a more casual look, or dress it up with heels and a clutch.

Targetshoe_2Don't be scared off by colorful shoes. They go with more than you might think, punching up a pair of slacks or giving your calves a boost when worn with a flirty summer dress. This green slingback wedge shoe from Target would look great with a yellow handbag, a navy shirtdress or anything white. And at $19.99, the price is right for a trendy purchase.

This pretty pencil skirt from New York & Company comes with a tropical twist. It would be appropriate for work or play. And I'm totally digging the red flats on the model.
