There's nothing like a good dose of formaldehyde gas to make a gal feel sexy.
Yes, folks, as if too-tight jeggings weren't scary enough, now the New York Times reports that a hair-straightening treatment company just settled a class action lawsuit that claimed its product caused nosebleeds and breathing problems and eye irritation. We're talking about the Brazilian Blowout -- and darn it if it doesn't look just drop-dead gorgeous anyway.
The settlement totaled $4.5 million, and the company can no longer market its product as "formaldehyde free." Apparently the chemicals used in the product emit the gas when heated.
This is good news, according to the president of the company.
“We get to sell the product forever without reformulation,” he told the New York Times. “In my eyes, that’s the acquittal we’ve been waiting for.”
What do you think, divas? Anybody eager to line up for the treatment?
