Has the coupon craze crossed the line?
We all love a good deal -- obviously. But the coupon craze that's sweeping the nation seems to be bordering on insanity. When a hobby spawns a reality show with "EXTREME" in the name, you know there's trouble, right?
Case in point: People are now stealing coupon-stuffed Sunday newspapers to get the valuable coupons inside, Times staff writer C. Ryan Barber tells us. If they don't use the coupons for their own groceries, they sell them. The thefts are taking a toll on newspaper distributors, whose profits shrink with each stolen paper.
I'm curious about what you think, divas. Is it really worth it to go bananas over coupon clipping, stooping as low as to STEAL to get them, just to amass a bomb shelter-worthy stockpile of Nilla Wafers and Windex?
