How to get every last drop out of your makeup bottles
As I type, I'm staring down a tube of Revlon matte lipstick in "Wine Not" that is absolutely used down to the nub. Still, I refuse to throw it in the trash until I've scraped it bare. I'll never quit you, lipstick!

Moments of such connection with my lipstick inspired me to write this story for Here's the Deal, the money saving feature that runs in the St. Petersburg Times every Monday. It's on the front of your B section today, and the cover of tbt*.
I'll tell you how to swipe out the very last smooch of the lipstick using a brush, how to mutilate your makeup bottles until they're empty, how to salvage a broken powder compact. And I know you guys have other MacGyver tricks we've yet to even think of, so please do share.
You can follow Here's the Deal on Facebook for more cheapster insight. And of course, you can do the same for your favorite Deal Divas.

Think blazers with statement necklaces, and lots of patterned ballet flats. She can be reached at 850) 224-7263 or

There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or
A disciple of the little black dress classics school, Letitia Stein stretches her budget by looking for styles with staying power. She lives for 80 percent off shoes at DSW, floral sundresses and bohemian chic tops. She confesses to being a bit of a snob when it comes to handbags and jewelry.
