I can haz free shipping?
Since we're all terribly, miserably broke this year, it's gonna help come the holidays if we get shopping early. Buying stuff online is a great way to go, but you have to be careful since shipping costs on a cheap item can add up to more than you'd pay for the same thing at the mall. And you don't get the benefit of the Orange Julius stand at home!
For help, check out freeshippingon.com to search for items on amazon.com or ebay.com that have no shipping costs attached. If you're feeling selfish, there are mad amounts of clothes on both sites! Also, get shipping coupons for Best Buy, Circuit City and Wal-Mart, among others.
In other linkage news...
I like to buy actual gifts for people, because I think gift cards feel kind of cold. But I love getting them, so I guess that makes me a total hypocrite! Whatevs, if you like the gift card route, try the Buy Discount Gift Cards site to bid on all kinds of cards fo-cheap. Right now, there's a $62 Abercrombie and Fitch card with seven bids up to $53.20, but I'm sure if you dig around, you'll do a little bit better. Just put your mind to it!
While you shop, enjoy this thrifty lolcat from icanhascheezburger.com:

Think blazers with statement necklaces, and lots of patterned ballet flats. She can be reached at 850) 224-7263 or
Kameel Stanley has never encountered a thrift store she didn’t like. Her mother taught her that the true value of clothes isn’t how much they cost, but how many outfits one can create from them. Having grown up in Michigan, she was delighted to learn upon moving to Florida that she almost never needed to wear socks or boots again. There’s a lot of turnover in her closet, and she’s obsessed with dresses, necklaces and wedge heels. She can be reached at (727) 893-8643 or

She lives for 80 percent off shoes at DSW, floral sundresses and bohemian chic tops. She confesses to being a bit of a snob when it comes to handbags and jewelry.
